Transferring / Re: 27% at a 3rd tier

I know quite a few people at my school who are not concerned at all about class rank and the like -- they plan to transfer within the tier!

I know that BU (20) is higher ranked than BC (27), but does that really matter?  Also, am I making a mistake by not accepting the scholarship and remaining in the top 5% of my class at Suffolk?

Yes. No.

Transferring / Re: Kent (2nd tier-66) or Depaul (3rd tier)?

Go to Kent. DePaul is 3d tier, pretty much the same thing as the hole where you already were.

2. Do not study at all during the school year, except for the last week of your classes and during the exam period.

How about studying for Legal Writing classes? Do you really think you don't have to touch it a little bit?!

For those in their 2/3L, were their any tricks you were able to figure out that made sorting through an 8 page case easier? Will it just take time?

There's no trick. You go and buy the canned briefs book and then you may wish to copy the particular case brief in a piece of paper.

Assuming you'll ever need that brief!

The Gilberts property outline is so good that I stop using my casebook for a while. Also the Gilberts Torts and Contracts are very good.

Are they not a bit too long-winded?! Just a thought ..

Upper level professors will be upfront with you, and tell you that if you choose handwritten over computer they will not be happy.

Probably, we'll see!

LOL maney! ;)

I've heard a horror story where a professor was beaten up by a couple of disgruntled students who were told their exams were missing and were given Fs.

there's just as much drinking and drug use as at any college...

At my school it's much worse (or better, depending on your point of view!) Within their cliques students do a hell of a lot of drugs I've heard - they exchange with each-other every drug you can think of, from Adderall to cocaine to weed

Not all the time! At my school it's mostly during exams' time that many law students go crazy with drugs, not eating, not exercising, studying for 8-10 straight hours!

It's not books only! The laptop is a nuisance as well!

Just leave it inside your locker, labamba, and pick it up in the morning!
