OFFICIAL HAPPY HOUR INFO...
For any incoming 1L who wants to meet classmates, and any other VLS student/alum who wants to meet 1Ls and give some advice... Thursday, August 18th, 7:00 p.m. at Kelly's Kelly’s is in Bryn Mawr, right on Route 30. If you're traveling East from Villanova's campus Kelly's is on the left. The website is www.kellystaproom.com, if you want to look up more info. Please let me know if you're planning to come - just so I'm not sitting there by myself! Let's do it this way...if you're interested, send me an email, that way I can be sure to send everyone a message with the info. My email address is (I'm sure this will look familiar) hleaman@law.villanova.edu. We can also update this board with the info. Maybe we could plan for the Thursday or Friday before orientation (19th or 20th). I'm open for suggestions on places... I have heard great things about Manyunk. I have friends in the area, so I'll ask them for ideas. Is anyone actually from the immediate area? I'm getting ready to start at Villanova Law in a few weeks.
I'm moving into my apartment in Bryn Mawr this weekend, so I'll have a few weeks there before we have orientation. Is anyone interested in meeting up before the "first day of school" for a drink or something? Maybe we could arrange some sort of happy hour for incoming 1L's. I don't know a soul in our class, but if anyone does, we could get a group together... Let me know if you're interested! 6

I'm going to Villanova in the fall and I'm really excited!
I wanted to give anyone who wants to hear some advice on the financial aid topic. When I was deciding where to go, I called and asked Nova for Scholarship Money. All I did was call and ask, and they offered me a partial tuition scholarship. I was accepted early (January) and I had some leverage with scholarships from other schools, but I was shocked at how easy it was for me to get money! I wish I had asked for more! Try it, you never know!!!
