I have a bunch of stuff listed on ebay including LEEWS tapes, Law in a Flash, Sum and Substance tapes, Getting to Maybe, Law School Confidential, etc.

Relationships are certainly possible during law school.  I have been married for 12 years and have 3 young children.  I find the time for my husband and kids and plenty of time to study - it's all about time management and priorities.  I am a 1L and, so far, my grades have not suffered and neither has my family.  I find time to take the kids to soccer practice, spend time with my husband, and still find plenty of time for school.  I have been active in pro bono opportunities at school and have even founded a new student organization.  The thing to remember is that it is important to be organized and to manage your study time effectively.  Also, make sure that your relationship remains a priority.

My school also allows students to write their exams in a bluebook or to use their laptop.

Arizona State / 1L schedule

I got my schedule a few days ago and I am curious if anyone on here will be in the same sections as I have.  Anyone else have Berch, Rose, Fidel, or Farringer-Parker for first semester?

Have you all read Ultimate Punishment yet?

General Board / Re: Denied loans...what to do?

I had the same problem - denied twice with a great cosigner.  I have a bankruptcy on my credit (just over 4 years ago) which is why they denied me, despite my cosigner's great credit.

Then I tried Sallie Mae (Lawloans program) and was approved with no problem.

Whew!  What a relief!!

General Board / Re: Parking at ASU

Yes, it kind of sucks...

But its not like you'll have to walk the whole way to the law school if you do park in Lot 59.  There is a free shuttle (FLASH) that picks up at several places in Lot 59 and will drop you off right in front of the law buildings. When I was in undergrad, I parked in Lot 59 and it wasn't that big a deal... just give yourself a little extra time to get to class.

Granted, it would be nicer to be in a parking structure so that the car isn't in the sun all day...  :-\
