another question- every few years there's talk of incorporating NSL into TSU. any idea as to why it never happens? seems like it would be a win-win situation for both institutions.

To whoever posted on the I go to vanderbilt thread that NSL was not formerly the YMCA Law School, this is straight off the NSL website

we don't cover TN centric cases in our contracts class. i understand that they're more important when you can only sit for the bar in TN but we tend to cover cases with a further reaching precedent. I'm curious, are you guys just learning straight black letter law or are you learning the abstract topics behind it. if you want to know what we've covered so far I can break it down for you. we've only had one case that was decided in TN- here goes:

Goals of Contract Damages
    Reliance, Restitution, and Expectation
Mutual Assent
Control Over Contract Formation
Conduct Concluding a Bargain (Offer and Agreement)
Standardized Forms and UCC 2-207(2)
Equity in Enforcement

Under each of those topics we've hit 5 to 10 cases that highlight the direction of the black letter law. Upon further inspection (consulting some of my commerical study aids) I can't find the case you listed anywhere. I suspect it may be an important TN case (you tell me since you know) but not particularly relevant to learning the concepts behind the law of contracts.

If you have any cases that extend outside of TN caselaw and you think there might be overlap with my curriculum feel free to ask away.

keep telling yourself that... maybe if you're nice enough the fact that you went to a nonABA accredited school won't matter LOL

off to real school with real casebooks and real professors; where half of the class doesn't consist of stay-at-home moms and middle-aged IT guys... thank God for admissions standards!!

I know how Vandy teaches. You told me how NSL teaches. So yes, I know a lot about one and a little about the other. Let's talk about why NSL still doesn't have ABA-accreditation. The formal rejection of their application is on the web. It includes things like inadequate facilities, subpar professors, etc. If you'd like to check it out www.aba.org - it's pretty entertaining.

Are you really trying to argue that NSL has a more effective teaching process that Vandy? LOL You really are brainwashed. If your methods are so good, why won't the ABA recognize you as a real school?
