I agree duma. It took me almost until the end of the first semester to recognize the difference in the symbiotic and the parasitic. Those who give shall receive!

[. I don't mind working together, but it has to be more symbiosis then parasitic.
The real shame of it all is that law school fosters this competative nature. If I help people in my class, it will hurt me by making the curve shift. Such a shift will likely take me more towards the middle. You see, if they toss the forced bell curve, I would tell everyone everything.

Well, anyway, I don't mind helping here. As you see, my reasons for remaining silent is to avoid people asking me things, and wanting to take advantage of me. Then there is also the bell curve thing... anyway, I don't have to compete with any of you, and I can ignore posts if I don't want to answer.  ;D

ps. This will be the last time I speak of this. I hate the people who walk around with big heads. I don't want to be one of them. I think one should accept victory as humbly as they might accept defeat.

Well that is FANTASTIC....is there such a thing as an online study group?  :D
I know you must feel so proud, and you should. Congratulations.
I'm glad that your dog is doing well.

yeah duma....how was your break? I know we were all to the (beyond) breaking point there at the end. How is your dog, did she have surgery?

I got all but one of my grades back.... and so far I like it.  ;D
My dog did have the surgery. It has went better then I could have hoped. She slept the first few nights, and has been walking around on her leg ever since. We are doing rehab now. We will do leg stretches and walk more and more until summer. If it wasn't for the cold, I would enjoy the walks.

As far as my graeds go...I am not usually one to brag. I can tell you that no one that I go to school with will know my score, but since none of you know me, I don't mind telling you. I actually set the high score for my torts class, and my research class. I don't know what my K score is yet, but I am hoping to pull the hat trick :)

CONGRATS! i hope I cry from joy, rather than pain!

How did everyone do?  What grades did you get on all your exams?

Our grades will be posted in Jan but our Contracts prof has already graded our exams and he emailed our grades...I got a B...I almost cried...seriously.

love FIRM, any more for Torts?

I am a 2L and we use them.  Most recently for the types of things that must be proved in order to obtain punitive damages:

FIRM

Fraudulent
Intentional
Reckless
Malicious

Also for determining whether the courts will certifify a Class Action in Civ Pro:

CANT

Commonality
Adequate Representation
Numerosity
Typicality

Hope these help.

I have a BA in English Lit and an MS in Journalism and I'm doing poorly in legal writing.
Go figure!
You will be just fine.
If you are intelligent and motivated you will succeed.
Enjoy your time off before you start school!
