Title: # of LORs per school
Post by: juliemccoy on July 07, 2006, 10:10:13 AM
LSAC has a list of the number of LORs required and accepted by each school. Some of this information differs from the school's website. For example, one's schools website states that only 2 LORs are required; the LSAC list states that the school requires 3 LORs.

I want to follow the school's directions to a "T," but I don't want to disadvantage myself if perhaps there are opportunities to submit an additional LOR.

In this case-- discrepancy on the school's web site and LSAC list, should I follow what LSAC says?

There is a difference between how many letters a school requires and how many it recommends you submit.  By the way, notice that info on LSAC is still for last years applications and it may change come next cycle.  Personally, I'd go with the LSAC because I am lazy, but if you have to be absolutely sure, call the school.
