Title: Sending additional LOR w/ Letter of Continued Interest - how does this work??
Post by: pinkybella on March 09, 2006, 05:23:29 PM
Since I can't send an updated resume/transcript with my letter of continued interest, I am sending an additional LOR from an attorney who I work with.

I want to sent the LOR and the letter of continued interest together (in the same envelope but I don't know if LORs are supposed to be confidential (meaning I'm not supposed to have seen it). Will the LOR lose its weight if the law school thinks I've seen it? If so, should I have the attorney send the LOR and the letter of continued interest? Wouldn't this be weird, as I wrote the letter of continued interest but he's sending it?

How does this work and what is the proper way of sending these two items together?

ANY insight would be awesome. :)

Have the writer put their letter in an envelope, seal it, sign across the back flap.

Then put the sealed letter and your letter into a larger envelope.

You can also go back to the LSAC website and add the additional recommender to your list of letter writers, print out the form, sign it and give it to the recommender.  Have them put this in the aforementioned sealed envelope for additional proof of confidentiality.  If you already have four general letters, make their's a targeted one, deactivate another or whatever... just do whatever to get the form printed out.
