Post by: kralf on August 21, 2005, 06:56:29 AM

What do you mean you were trying to "download" the file?  You open up the applications and work on them on the LSDAS website -- you don't need to download them.

Maybe somehow that's what is going wrong?  From having worked six hours straight yesterday plugging in info here and there, I feel safe in saying that the apps are up and running.

thanx for answering

anyway, How I can access application electronically?

I cannot open up application of each school on LSAC site.

firstly, I found the following message :"Omniform ActiveX control is loading. Please wait--this may take a few minutes. "

and then, I found "Please do not use refresh function of your browser. Click here to continue. "

but after clicking "here" button, my page went back to the first page

I could not access the application page.

please get me advice

thanks a lot dude

If you are using an Apple, the apps don't work on Mac OS X, you will just wait and wait for the application to appear and it never does. You will see the "Exit Without Saving" and other button at the bottom of the screen but they won't work.

Also, and because I saw a similar post somewhere else... The LSDAS instructions are fairly (not completely, but decently so for the thinking individual) clear about how to get the applications to work... especially with all that Omniform X jive.

So, go, read, apply!

I had the same problem. You need to make certain that in your browser settings you enable pop ups. I think you even need to accept all cookies otherwise the application will not run or not run properly. I did the above and mine worked fine.

You can't save the inputed information on the individual schools' applications yet, right?  Just making sure I wasn't the only one.

I can...

Me too.  That's what I've spent all weekend doing.

I have been having the same problem under XP/IE duo of power. I have the settings accept all cookies and block no pop-ups, but it keeps prompting me to install ActiveX...

Do this:

Go to control panel > network and internet connections > Internet options > Security tab > go to Trusted sites > uncheck require server verification @ the bottom > add *.lsac.org to the trusted sites (exactly as I wrote it)

made mine work

Thanks, I hope this works, but I haven't been able to try it yet due to LSAC downtime. I usually use a mac for everything but apps(until the new app system comes out!), so the finer points of fooling around with XP are lost on me.
