Title: E-Mail Required?
Post by: robertg@gmail.com on October 13, 2011, 08:08:27 AM
I am wondering if the recommendation form requires the phone # and e-mail of my recommender, or if the address alone is sufficient for contact info. Thanks for any help.

Up to them. Usually the address is just fine.  Think of how many LoRs a university prof writes over 20 yrs.  Most probably don't want their phone number to go out.  On the other hand, it is extremely unlikely that any admissions people will actually call any recommender, unless you get Obama or something.

I agree - some of my recommender's didn't want their phone number going out - the address is just fine.
