Title: Concord (or another school)
Post by: JKuwait on April 10, 2010, 06:50:14 PM
If you are a student in Concord's EJD Program, please email me privately. I'd like to hear about your experiences because I'm thinking hard about this program. If there is another good distance law school you'd recommend, I'd like to hear about that as well.

Thanks!

They're the only regionally accredited online law school, but Taft is at least nationally accredited if you wanted to look into that too.

Concord is also nationally accredited through the DETC. See: http://www.detc.org/school_details.php?id=187

LOTS of nationally accredited schools are also regionally accredited. It's not one or nothing with accrediting. They are owned by Kaplan, kaplan is regional and their regional accrediting agency told me when I contacted them a few years ago(when I considered an online degree) that it includes concord in it(from the horses mouth) Look a little deeper is all.

Concord doesn't have a very good pass ratio at all. In fact, according to the California State bar public statistics page, none of the online law schools have a good pass ratio. For Concord online law school, the California October 2009 bar exam, out of 207 Concord students that took the exam, only 37 passed. Ummm, that's not very good. Take a look for yourself. http://www.calbar.ca.gov/calbar/pdfs/admissions/FYX/FYX0910-Stats.pdf (http://www.calbar.ca.gov/calbar/pdfs/admissions/FYX/FYX0910-Stats.pdf)
