Title: Returning to Law School
Post by: ElGuapo1972 on March 16, 2010, 12:03:02 PM
I was a 1L in 2001 and completed my first semester in law school successfully. Unfortunately, I had some events occur with my family that caused me to have to leave school before beginning my second semester. During my time away from law school I enrolled in graduate school and earned an MBA from a good business school, graduating at the top of my class. Now I'm considering returning to law school. Is that even possible? How would I go about it? I assume I would need to retake the LSAT and then just reapply to whatever school I wished to attend? Any advice in this regard would be much appreciated.

I'd suggest you speak with the Dean of Academic Affairs at your law school. Given the time that has elapsed, there could be issues, and the dean would be able to identify, explain and interpret the relevant ABA standard.
