i think another most horrible thing is apathy. the death of one's own child is probably most heartbreaking for some parents who don't have a lot of kids. when a poor mom who already has 14 children loses a newborn kid, it seems not that horrible.

I work with sick and dying children every day. You learn to cope, but you don't get used to it. It's difficult to be bombarded with that kind of sadness daily, but you look for positives, like making their time here pleasant.

:) Thanks. Good to see you again too. I'm afraid I won't be able to catch up with you before this June. I hate the LSAT.  ;)

thank God that i have never lost anyone except my grandfather.  i have no children, but the pain of losing my grandpa was painful enough.  i was just wondering if you had posted that topic to put on this board bc you had or for another reason.

aye lost two elderfathers...and two eldermothers...

and aye met them, all but one,...and yes, that was painful...

my reason for posting this topic is for another reason...does that answer your question?
