Title: Deferral of Admission?
Post by: jd2b2004 on April 27, 2004, 01:30:23 PM
Does anyone have any advice as to what an effective strategy is for trying to defer admission for the following year? In my case, I am a phd grad in biology who wants to pursue jd part-time. I have accepted an offer at a prestigious law firm, however, the firm does not want me to start this year. Also, next year, if my performance is adequate, they will pay for tuition in FULL! Do schools generally grant deferrals? What are adequate reasons? In my case, I am considering, NYLS, Brooklyn law, and hofstra (live on LI).I just don't want to have to re-apply again this coming fall.

Thanks!
