Title: Got a fat envelope from UVA in the mail today.
Post by: !@#$% on November 01, 2004, 06:19:13 PM
I nearly flipped out until I realized it was the College of Arts and Sciences asking for money.   :-[  The next couple of months are going to blow.

ick  :-\ i'm glad my UG doesn't have a law school b/c they've been sending me a lot of love since it was homecoming time. calendars and form letters and alum mags would flip me out if they came from someplace to which i was applying.

we lost to harvard by one, though  >:(

We shall see.  After all, the Sox won the World Series, which proves that hell *can* freeze over.  Perhaps after election day maybe I can breathe a little easier about the odds of my UVA app not getting filed in the circular cabinet.

USC has been a champ about sending big, useless packets.  The must spend tons of money on their promotional material.

juat wait until february.

you come home, and see that fat envelope sticking out of the mailbox. you sprint towards it, discovering... yet another fee waiver from a third tier law school in a state you'd never live in.

With that LSAT?  You're totally getting in, don't worry about it.  Especially since you're in-state (I assume).

I will use those envelopes to "beautify the park" when I walk my dog.   Then I will put them back in the mail marked Return to Sender.

ZAP, if Andrew starts his rating system, you'll get a 180 vote from me.  :-*

Hmmm....that reminds me that it's been nearly 24 hours since I checked all my online statuses!

Speaking of which, the UVA online status check website seems to be down right now (although it was up earlier today) - maybe they're uploading the first batch of decisions?

Believe me, I'm refreshing that damn page every 10 seconds!  :-\

It's awful how such little things drive us to go crazy...

I think my paranoia will be worse when "Decision mailed?: Yes" shows up on the screen.

False alarm....at least for me. The site is back and my status still says Decision Sent? Not Yet.

Out of curiousity, when did y'all receieve the UVA e-mail/snail mail re: "you're application has been received"?  I transmitted 10/14, report requested 10/15 report date 10/29.

Thanks

Snail-mailed 9/21, got my online status check email 9/26, and UVA informed me that my application was complete on 10/18.  I'd tell you what days my reports were requested and sent, but LSAC is down right now.

Ooh, actually, I just remembered that my dates are a little off.  9/26 was the day I got a letter in the mail saying "we got your application, but you didn't send us a check for $65.  So send us a check or a waiver application and then we'll process your app."  Oops.  So there was some extra time between that and when my report was actually requested.
