Lets assume that:
1)I want to work in Chicago
2)I am about as far from Catholic as possible
3)Cost is not an issue

both schools place in Chicago (iowa often posts lower numbers in part b/c it is a state school and more people go to Iowa with the intent of remaining; plus ND has a great alumni network, no one will deny that) ND was my dream school so I'm very jealous that you get to make this decision. If it were me, I would go to ND, but the reason I would go there is because I AM catholic and I DO want to continue my studies in an environment similar to how I was raised. That's so important for me. If being around the catholic faith bothers you, then consider that it's a huge part of the school and does in part shape the philosophy and mission statement. Iowa actually has a much better program for the law I want to practice; I recommend reviewing the course catalogs and academic programs at both schools, too

FWIW, a lot of people who go to ND have held out to go there their whole life. I almost gave up all my admissions and scholarships when I found out I wouldn't get to go there in the fall. So it's an honor--congratulations to you. I'm sure you'll make the decision that is right for you

What program of law do you want to practice?

Just curious why does it matter?  I did not think that Iowa or ND had a particularily strong single area of law.  Also, I would pick ND, although Iowa is better ranked its not quite as strong in Chicago (from what I hear).

I'm trying to decide between Kent and Iowa still... Iowa and ND/UIUC wouldn't be much of a competition.
