Stetson does have some housing for students, but I believe there are 50 spots total for more than 1000 students. I think the price is very reasonable, but since the supply is limited, I'm sure they're in high demand.

How come everyone says that if you go to a tier 3/4 school, then you can't practice outside of its region?  I might be missing something, but take a look at most respected firms, and the list of schools -- albeit not widely --does indeed vary.  My friend's Dad went to Southern or Northern Illinois (can't remember which), and has his own practice in Florida.  He does pretty well, too, I might add.

The regional limitations you speak of refer to a recent grad's ability to find work at a firm, not their ability to open their own practice.

Seconded. I think a firm is less likely to hire a recent grad before he/she passes the bar unless the school has a solid area reputation. Of course you can go take another bar exam and open your own practice, but the general population probably isn't going to want to spend the time and money to take the bar exam in another state before finding a job.

Stetson is a great school in Florida and will place outside Florida in Elder Law and Trusts and Estates.  They have a great trial law program as well, so you could probably do personal injury work throughout the south coming out of Stetson.  You will probably have a tough time practicing in a big firm in a large city outside Florida, but you could take a Stetson degree and go to a smaller town and have a shot at a job with those small law firms that do trial work and estate planning.
