So, on a different note... where are you guys going if you dont get into fordham (which as the days pass is looking more and more likely)?

I'm probably going to Cardozo in the fall.

Called Fordham today after receiving that email a few weeks ago and hearing NOTHING since... they said at this point there is no movement (is that specifically in my file? I dont know) and decisions are entirely being based on the current accepted students (duh)... I wish they would just give me SOME decision at this point

So who (aside from me) got the email and is STILL waiting? Also, Captain Bravo- did you get in for FT or PT?

So far, if you look at the status checker on the website there have been no changes made. I guess we will find out by Friday...
When I initially applied I applied for full time, after I was deferred I did both full and part time, but now, as the fall approaches, I cant envision myself as a part time student, so I returned to my original choice.

got the email... I think it sounds promising... the first promising waitlist email I've received from Fordham, in fact.

Law School Admissions / Re: A+ = 4.33 - What's your take?

I went to a school that gave out A+s and in the four years I was there, never received one. Not saying that I'm a bad student either, but to be honest, most teachers are stingy with the A+s even if you do superb work.

Was in a similar situation with a 164/3.48...  I applied to BU,BC,Fordham, G-town,GWU, Cardozo,Bklyn, Temple, American, Northeastern,etc...
Was flat out rejected at BC,G-town and GWU, Waitlisted then rejected at BU, and am still waiting on Fordham's waitlist, but I was accepted and given large scholarships at the rest of the schools that I applied to, all schools that I think are pretty decent, they may not be T14, but I feel confident that I will secure a decent job.

Im going to be attending Cardozo in the fall with a large scholarship and Im fine with that. In retrospect I could have applied to more T1 schools like Emory, Tulane, Indiana etc, but living and working in NYC is really important to me, so Cardozo it is.

Good luck

While your friend waits on Cardozo, almost everyone I know who is attending Cardozo is waiting on Fordham so lets hope that Fordham lets a few more people off for his and my sake

still have a shiny ibook G4 from college which I will have had for two years when i start this fall. While Cardozo doesnt have a problem with using iBooks, is it a good idea to I get a new computer for school this fall??? I still have another year on my warranty and so far I have had no serious problems with my computer

With a 3.0 and 163, you have a good shot at schools like... Bklyn. I went to a prestigious LAC graduated with a little over a 3.5 and a 164, and was seriously considering Bklyn and will be attending Cardozo in the fall. While going to Columbia is definitely a positive element of your application, Bklyn is a really good choice for someone in your position ESPECIALLY with the scholarship. Definitely take it.
