stupid conditional rules again

Ok people.. I need help.

R is not scheduled for Thursday unless L is scheduled for Monday.

So, if L IS scheduled for Monday, is R not scheduled for Thursday?  One of the answers was "R is scheduled for Thursday."  which I erroneously chose.  The LGB explanation for why this is not the case is that this selection "reverses" the rule.  I asked about this sort of thing before and thought I had it figured out, but I guess not.

The statement can be diagrammed like this:

 R(thu) ->  L(mon)
!L(mon) -> !R(thu) [contrapositive]

L(mon) does not appear as a sufficient condition, thus nothing can be inferred from the above rule with just that information.
