Transferring / Re: T3 to Tulane- Please Advise

Tulane is not bested by Loyola in New Orleans. Tulane is very well represented in Nola. However, Tulane students who simply anticipated no competition from Loyola will be disappointed. Loyola is firmly entrenched in the city, and despite the qualitative difference between the student bodies the best Loyola students are competitive with Tulane students in the local market. And Tulane's ability to place outside Louisiana has been greatly diminished by the economic downturn. Thus a transfer student should temper expectations accordingly.

Firstly, with your success at your school I suspect you will get into your dream school(which is it?). As far as your current situation, Tulane is great but not sure what the prospects would be for a transfer, you may very well fare better as one of the best students at your current school

Haha ok. Man I don't begrudge you your choice to attend a t4 and I wish you all the success in the world. But please stop the nonsense about t3 and t4 schools. They are an incredible risk, in a market that is devastated, and I could not in good conscious reccomend them for anyone. Your ardent defense of them simply strikes me as pathological.

there are a lot of not very bright people at law schools. This is particularly true of Whittier.

overstating how many smart people attend law school. This is all the more the case with Whittier.

What other schools are you looking at? What rank are you in your school, what school, etc.?

sad to see this thread wind down.

Been here a week, already love this place. I suppose classes starting will change things, but pretty certain that this thread is aptly titled, Tulane and New Orleans are truly great.

alright, going with the macbook pro then. thanks for the info.

So I want to purchase a macbook pro, but I am concerned because Tulane "strongly" advises selecting a PC. Is this really an issue? Much more comfortable with macs.
