Pookie -- you got into Penn Law.  I know hundreds of kids who would kill for that.

Sooo... if I kill pookie, I'll get into Penn Law?

I am not really waiting for any more acceptances, but I still have two pending apps. It is driving me NUTS!! I just want to get rejected so that my cycle is over. Argh!! Why won't they just reject me already??

GTown rejection in mailbox. Was a major reach but definitely my top choice out of everywhere I applied. Not really bitter because I wasn't expecting to get in but kind of bummed. I WILL, however, be bitter when/if I start getting rejected from what I believe to be my target schools. Then, I'll be like "who the f*** do you think you are--rejecting ME??!! The nerve of you!"

I mean seriously BU/BC/WL/WM where the hell are you??? I'm convinced only waitlists/rejections are on the way, given my recent experience with the whole "no news is good news (not)" thing. Meh

5 out of 19? You have nearly 75% of the way to go, there are bound to be a bunch of acceptances there.

Oh, and stay on the waitlist at Notre Dame. I think you could pull it off and, if I hit any of my reaches, I'll be withdrawing there, so that'll be one closer. They're pretty accessible, too, and they've been bombarding me with stuff, which is bittersweet: sweet, because I appreciate all the extra info; bitter, because I always think the big envelopes are new acceptances and the thin letters are rejection letters.

By the way, someone back there mentioned something about you being one of the nicer LSDers... I'd have to agree.

Only 4 so far, actually. And honey, with a 2.6 cumulative GPA (at least my degree GPA is higher, I'm hoping that will matter at least a little) there are never "bound to be" ANY acceptances. Each and every one is a surprise and a thrill! :) ;D

I'm staying on at ND. I hate the thought of dragging it out even more, but I guess it'll be worth it if I get in.

These "nice" comments are gonna make me go spit somewhere or something, just to prove I'm not a pushover ;) :P

Aww, I'm sorry about the Gtown rejection. I know that even if you aren't really expecting it, it still stings when the last bit of hope is removed. Cheers, and good luck on the rest of your cycle! Go light a candle or something!

That is so weird, because I regret not applying to more "mid range", still would've been reaches for me, schools.  I applied to a lot of schools as well, ranging from "obviously not" to "probably yeah, but eh" and some in the middle, but I should've applied to more in the middel.  Oh well.

I wish I hadn't applied to so many target schools, since they've been waitlisting me!  :o  Now my reaches just seem *completely* silly and such a waste of money. Oh well, what's done is done!

I'm waiting for all of those schools, except BC, they Jesuitdinged me already (I'm convinced the Jesuits hate me).

I'm also waiting for WUSTL/PENN/Fordham Deferrals.

EDIT: Apparently I thought I was posting this reply to the acceptance thread.

Ok, I can stop gripping....I got into Hastings today!!!

Ok, I'm going to try the positive outlook for a while, to see how it affects my stress levels. As such, I am no longer bitter, and I am sure I will get some decision letters any day now.

The cycle is almost over. They have to get back to you now, right?!

So my friend just told me that when he was applying to law schools, a couple of schools simply NEVER got back to him.

This scares me. Fordham is going to keep me at 2nd eval forever. Penn will never reject me (they will also never ever accept or waitlist me). and BU seems to already have forgotten about me. Vandy just... doesn't return my love, though they added the information that my boyfriend has been accepted to their medical school to my file. God I hope that helps.

Damn horror stories of never hearing back...
