I am still waiting for my grades... but I fully expect to earn a C in torts... the essay was brutal and I just didn't perform well...

Try not to let the C hang over our head... next semester you'll be sure to perform better, w/ expperience under your belt... and I would think most consider the 2nd semeter of 1L and final 1l cum gpa to be the benchmark....

LOL... I hated yesterday... it is the only day we are going over bluebook in research and writing and it made NO SENSE! Plus we have a (non on line) use the LIB research assignment where we have to look up like 50 things and then do proper bluebook citing for each one, oh my! I like the ref classes much better.

Have you guys had the bluebook yet?

Just finished my first week of classes... I survived and even volunteered answers occasionally!

Good luck on the exam...

I found out this week that we will have (all the 1Ls)one saturday of midterms(an hour each class --multiple choice exams)... The profs are calling it
"hell day" ...LOL

I also have my first writing assignment due on Wed...get this, the directions for the typing reqs are 10 characters per inch, 24 lines per page(didnt even bother to tell us what font/ size, LAME)....

I enjoyed all my classes, though I think I like civ pro the best. Let me know which you guys like the best...

Oh, and I didnt have a laptop in undergrad but am using in class... typically my notes are pretty good from the reading so I don't end up having to type too much in class....  so it seems to be working for me.

I am just so happy to be going to law school...

Happy Weekend(i dont have classes on fridays)

Got my first assignments yesterday... will prob start tonight... the longest assignment was assigned from ... you guessed it, legal research and writing...LOL.

I too have the e and e series, they looked really helpful(i liked all the q and a) and i got the legalines canned briefs... i plan on book briefing but tearing out the canned brief and bringing it to me w/ class so that i have they typed version for faster ref if needed....

yah i knew it would be 4 nights a week.... could be worse.... Santa Clara was 4 nights a week also, though you had 2 classes each night instead on one rather long class....

Yah, research and writing seems to be the most cutthroat...LOL....

I am  not planning on telling anyone that I have a year and a half under my belt, I will just fly under the radar...LOL....

So are you guys excited, when does your orientation start? Tonight is my mock class... should be fun....
