Hah thanks Gengis. I actually just remembered that Flyaway told me last week. I'm spacey. Too much liquid courage at the prom.

Also, the more I get to know y'all in real life and the further removed we are from LSD, the weirdererer it gets to call people by their LSD names.

My irl name is Tetris so if we end up friends in Michigan, Bouzie, it won't be that weird to call me Tetris, lol. (my parents were big video game nerds)

I made the mistake of adopting an LSD name that was already my IRL nickname with a huge swath of my friends.  *ptth*

Hehe.  Sadly, mine never caught on.  You're the only one here who calls me Bouzie.  I'd call you Jolie but for some reason I never connect the real life woman known as __________ ___________ with the LSD Jolie.   Sounds like a class Miller should teach.

And Tetris, are you serious?  Because that would be really effin' awesome.

Did any of you take your SN from your Night Elf hunter's character name in World of Warcraft? Did you only remember this fact at the March ASW, when you had to keep explaining it to people from the internet whom you met in real life, each time eliciting either a blank stare of incomprehension, or one of utter scorn?

No?

Yeah, me neither.

That's not so bad.  Picture this:

I was traveling to Montreal with a friend to visit some people with whom I played Asheron's Call.  I had been playing with them for several years, but we never really called each other by anything other than screen names.  I had a list of names and contact info, but it was packed in my suitcase.  When we got to the border and they asked what was going on, you can imagine how stupid I sounded.

Border dude:  Who are you going to visit?
Me:  Well, the wizard's name is...
Border dude"  Pull your car over to the side please.

Bouzie, I think I saw you at ASW during the library tour.  However, I was a little wary of just going 'hey Bouzie' to some guy who may or may not have even been Bouzie.  On the other hand with Flyaway and Jolie I was far more sure.  Plus they were stationary so I had a bit more time to make sure.

BTW...Jolie....for some reason I'm craving those hotdogs.  I'm not usually a huge hotdog fanatic.  They're just good for hangovers.  I'm worried this is the beginning of the end.....

Bouzie, I wanted to call you Bouzie the whole time we were talking on Thursday, and still do so in my head. I can't remember how I figured out who you were though.

How were people recognizing other posters, anyway? By the time I met up with people, everyone had already figured out who everyone else was, and I never found out exactly how it happened.

Yeah--that's what I want to know.  I knew who Tetris and areopagite were from Facebook, but had no clue how to figure out anyone else.

Hah!  I had no idea that you were you until you realized I was from LSD.  I think I must've said something that pretty obviously connected who I am. Although, I'm going to admit that I had quite a few drinks at that point.  The bar was taking so long that I started ordering two at once...never a good strategy.

If/when you come here, feel free to call me Bouzie; I will respond with enthusiasm.
