Hello all!

I will be taking the Sept. test also.  I too have been wondering about my UG GPA.  I've been out of school for 11 yrs & have enough of work exp.  I understand the purpose of the GPA addendum & will be including it w/ my applications.  I too, think that the my WE will help me, as I am currently working as a paralegal for a corp. atty, but I still need all the help I can get with this test!  ;D  (BTW, I'm in my 30's)

I plan on setting that LSAT on fire! (yeah, I'm claiming it!  :D )  I have the PS LG Bible & plan on getting the LR Bible, plus take the the weekend course in Columbia, SC in Sept.  I wanted to take the June test, had ample enough time to prepare, but just get into it...but it's down to the wire now. I ONLY want to take this test only once..cuz a n-word do NOT have it like that.  ;) (mortgage payments, etc)

Enuff!!...applying to USC (SC), Wake Forest, UGA, Univ. of Richmond, Temple, Georgia State

Just checking in with you Fall 07 hopefuls and I hope you all that are taking that June LSAT are on the grind. The entering class of 06 has just gotten their green cards and soon our's will be on the way. No time to play around because you'll be relaxing at the Bulgari Hotel one minute and then it'll be time to put out those applications before you know it. Again God Bless and Good Luck.

Morning everybody,

I had an LSAT breakthrough this wknd.  Instead of looking at the clock for the logic games section (as I usually do), I just went straight through and completed the games without looking.  Not only did I finish with 5 minutes to spare (instead of right at the wire), but I got the entire section right!  I've realised that looking at the time just stresses me out and makes me rush through, which increases the stupid mistakes.

I just tried that myself last Saturday and it really does help. I just set a timer and didn't look at it anymore until it went off. I finished all the sections for the first time in months.

Question: is it true that we can't bring ANY time-telling device into a test center? I know cell phones are out, but will they not allow silent timers either?

I've heard about some problems with them, so some proctors will allow them and some don't.  Your best bet might be a stopwatch and counting up (so that it doesn't beep) instead of counting down.  Look it the studying for the lsat section for more info.

Good luck to all sitting the June LSATs!

I spent the entire summer studying for the test last year and decided to sit for the Dec '05 LSAT. But after taking the exam I wasn't feeling too good about and went on to cancel. I'm retaking in September for the second and final time. I started at a 139 and was able to boost my score to 160 by the end of the summer. My goal is 170 and have some ways to go.

Anywhoos I wish all of you the best in acing the LSAT and getting into the school of your dreams! You're more than welcome to PM if you're in need of motivation or a virtual study buddy ;D

Question: Does it really make your application stonger if you know specifically what field you want to go into? I've been reading this a lot. Will it hurt my application if I'm not positive what I want to do?

It definitely won't hurt your application if you don't know what to do (most people don't).  That said, knowing what you want to do will only make your app stronger if you have experiences or activities to back it up (ie used to work on wall street and want to be a securities lawyer or have maaaad volunteer work and want to do public interest law).  Otherwise law schools mostly discount it because they know a lot of people change their minds and you could just be bsing it because you think it makes you look good.

Hello all. I'll be applying this fall. Currently I'm studying for an LSAT retake and we'll take it from there.

I'd love to pull off a 170, but I think any improvement will be worthwhile.
