Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Berkeley DING

I'm sure I spoke to the same woman.  She did not sound happy.  I want to call again and get someone else but I don't want to press my luck.  Just deny me already! ARGH.

That's the number I called.  I'm almost 100$ sure I was denied based on who they admit.  Oh well.  Hopefully, the letter will come soon . ..

You think it means something GOOD?  I highly doubt it because they notify people as they're admitted it seems.  Just the denials/waitlists seem to be taking forever.  I don't think I'd leave the east coast honestly but I really don't think it's going to be an option.  I don't see why they'd give bad news but not good news over the phone?

It's really rare for admissions to give any decisions that are negative (or even positive) over the phone.  Weird.

D*mn!  I just called AGAIN, had them ask me my name/last 4 digits, and STILL the answer was "decision letters will be mailed out next week."  I should keep trying until a male answers, based on previous poster. :P

Did you call the J.D. admissions number?

I bet that's what happened.  Someone was like "hey, who is giving decisions over the phone? STOP IT."  Oh well. I can get the rejection in a few weeks.  :P

i just called and all they said was "decisions will be made and mailed out in the next two weeks."  i wasn't sure how to press the issue of finding out ahead of time and they didn't ask for any of my info.  I'm almost 100% sure it's a no and I think I want to stay on the east coast anyways but I wish they'd told me.  >:(

Did you just ask for your decision or did you offer to send some other info if they hadn't made a decision yet?  Just curious if they were comfortable with someone asking straight off.  I'm expecting a denial but I'd pretty much like to know so I can eliminate it.

I think I remember all of you now.  And, yes, I am the one you're thinking of, CBGB.

This is going to be a tough decision for sure but I was so impressed with everything and everyone at ND.  I've been encouraging anyone on the fence about it to visit.  It's definitely worth it. :)

I'm also on the preferred waitlist at Georgetown. I'm leaning towards going to a smaller school anyways but I figure I'll see where things are at when they e-mail in May.  If I'm set on my choice, have a lease etc., I won't consider it.
