I received my first ding ever from MERCER yesterday.  It's kind of shocking considering that I have been accepted into higher ranked schools and I'm way over their numbers.  They were supposed to be my safety safety, funny how things work.  Maybe someone told them I couldn't possibly be serious about attending there. 8)

Rev,

I have heard some great things about little rock.  I still havent heard from them, but I would love to go there.

As of right now I am headed to Tulsa, but would definitly go to Little Rock instead.  Best of luck on the pending apps.  Also good luck to everyone else.

Question:
What do you guys think about me asking Northeastern for more money, I have heard that they rarely give out dollars and I was surprise to receive some from them...but should I ask for more, I could use my Hofstra and Suffolk as a leverage? what do you guys think. Also in my letter of continued interest, I told them that they are my first choice and that I will withdraw from every school once they accept me.....so don't know whether that will hurt my bargaining power....please share  your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance

Here's my thoughts.  It is almost certain that won't give you more money if you don't ask for it.  If you DO ask, will they give you anything?  Maybe.  Couldn't hurt to ask.  Be honest with them - tell then your decicion is between them and Suffolk and that you really like both schools, but right now the money from Suffolk is tough to ignore.

At this point, it really can't hurt to put all your cards on the table.

Thanks guys for the response on this post, the admissions director responded today and said that they don't have any  more money to offer but that the finaid office will do their best to make sure that I come to NUSl....so I thinking maybe need-based aid/loan well I will see what the fin-aid office says.

Today came another acceptance!! This is actually my second Full Time Fall Acceptance (the other one was from Cooley). The rest were conditional and IU-I's great summer start up program. This one was from Florida A &M University in Orlando Fl. Wow it would have been so great to study law in Orlando, I could have been chilling with Shamu the famous sea world whale. Thanks Florida A &M for giving me a chance!!

Yes, with an extra $30,000 in tuition, thank you very much!
