Tier 3 and 4 Acceptances and Rejections

Don't get disappointed if you get an early ding from a school you thought was a safety.  My experience is that you will get into some schools that you never dreamed you would  and you will get rejected by some you thought were locks.  The whole process is very random, 3rd and 4th tiers especially.

Still waiting on my results - waiting to be dinged at Cardozo, Brooklyn, and St. Johns.  Ready to plead with NYLS, Hofstra, and Seton Hall.  Do any of these have online status checkers?  I haven't found any.

I should add that if I get into West Virginia, I'd be likely to do the traditional celebration at the school, which is burning a couch...

When I try to do the online status check at Southwestern, it tells me that my name is not found. However, Loyola already sent me my student ID number in the mail and I can easily check my status (though I'm still listed as incomplete). I applied on 11/27 - so maybe I still have a couple weeks. I'm jealous of people already getting acceptances! :)

Me too, although I know it'll be awhile.  The worst part is frantically opening large envelopes to find info I've already received - such as an invite to check out Hofstra's PT eve program, after I've applied to it, or more Brooklyn info packets.  Just let me in!!!!

I got into St. Mary's yesterday.

Congratulations!!

I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston - right outside of San Antonio - for approximately 1 year. It's a pretty fun town.

Applied to Cooley on 12/2 and received a letter yesterday.  I though it might by some chance be a decision but they just wanted an official document from my school for my disciplinary actions.  Sent it off, still waiting for my first acceptance.

Hey Akc pup,

Is that your sheltie in that picture?  I have a sheltie also (named Shelby), AI love her to death.  Congrats on Appalachian.  I applied there a long time ago (beginning of Sept.) and received a phone call not too long ago about them not being able to request my report.  Got it worked out, so hopefully they are mailing out a bunch of decisions.  Any insight?

Yes, thats my boy Sidney!

Shelties are great... they are so smart, it amazes me sometimes.

Appalachian seemed to process my app. very quickly. I actually received my acceptance a while ago, but I just found this great board to post it on. I would stay in touch with them, they are very friendly there and easy to deal with. I'm very excited about the scholarship, but I've heard that the school is located in a very very rural area. I don't know if I could handle that. Perhaps, I'll go visit and see for myself what it is like.
Good Luck!
