I thought it would be a nice gesture.  Avoid it?  I mean, if I didn't do so well (and, honestly, I have no idea how he did), I would like some reassurance that I can still practice law and be some fantastic lawyer with a niche practice and . . . yada yada yada.

Whatever happened to Incubus?  I'm listening to Morning View and it's a kick-ass album.

Also, done with memo, except for bluebooking.

I wish writing were pass/fail for me.  I'd be done already.

I just spent an hour and a half reading a case about Family Guy that popped up under my brief's main key number.  It wasn't remotely relevant to the brief, but it was law-related, so I don't think it counts as procrastinating.  491 F.Supp.2d 962.

Can you give us the case facts?

Watching Posner pwn those feminists was awesome.  They were all like, "Oh, *&^%, you've totally got us with your superior logic and ability to focus on bigger problems."   ::)

I was at the gym, but my understanding is that the structure of the talk was something like the following:

Case: Feminism!
Posner: Your viewpoint is irrelevant.
Nussbaum: Public micturation is normal and should be allowed.

This actually is extremely accurate, although they took an hour and a half to say it.

i'm goin on a date with a girl from a T4 tonight.  pretty excited about that.

Please update.

Also would welcome any other distractions that might serve as alternatives to researching this brief.

You're already doing briefs at your school?  We're still on memos.  I'm writing a boring memo on an obscure Illinois privacy tort.

our brief is on customer lists: are they trade secrets?
subject matter: the diamond-edge blade, saw and bore distribution industry
boring as anything.

I don't blame you for the LSD contingent.  I suspect that one of these days I'll lay many of them off as well.  On the other hand, I'm genuinely curious to see whether I run into any LSD people one day in practice.  I have a feeling that I will.

The funny thing about FB is that I have several really really good friends who I never bothered to FB.  It's almost like you use the tool to reach out to people you don't already know, or would like to know better, or, most of the time, for flirting.

Accept, then defriend. It's a classic FB move.
