Michigan deferral

bah! you can't go everywhere anyway.

Yeah I know I'm just venting. The problem is I won't have the money or the time to visit anywhere unless I'm sure I'm in. So if for example Penn or Mich lets me in on April 15th. . . there isn't much chance of me getting out there to check it out in two weeks. So while I only applied to schools I could see myself actually attending, not visiting will make the decision way harder.

Squee!

Yes, never fear...I got the email (which I somehow didn't read as a deferral, but maybe I'm just slow) and got in less than a month later.  I sent a nice note saying how excited I was about Michigan (I did NOT write the original Why Mich? essay) and sent an unofficial transcript, which showed new and better grades.

hmmm...

I haven't replied as of yet to the Mich email - is anyone else treating this like a deferral/waitlist? It sounds like it might be a good idea to at least express interest...

I got it and sent a short note to them saying that I was still interested. I kind of think it's basically a deferral- I applied in September.
