I saw this poll topic on another board, and it seemed interesting.

The stipend/grants are annual payments. By tier 2 I mean schools like Brooklyn, Seton Hall, Hofstra, Denver, Loyola, Houston . . .

I said room and board plus tuition. Seems reasonable. That wouldn't "guranatee" that I'd take the T2, but would put the two schools in an "even running" at which point I would factor things in besides cost and reputation.

Would be pretty important to identify which T14...

Bottom end - Full scholarship
Middle - Full scholarship + $6k year stipend
HY - Nothing

You mean "nothing" as in no amount of money would be enough? There's some amount.

Will the T2 also provide an assistant who attends my classes, brings home notes, takes my exams, does my dishes, cooks Thai food, sings me to sleep at night, provides motivational chants to boost my self-esteem, takes a job for me, forks over the cash, and gives me hugs when I'm feeling down? If so, I'd consider a T2 (oh, and I'd want $1,337,666 too).

My mother cooks all my meals for me. What will I eat at law school?

A T2-provided assistant who cooks Thai food will certainly allay my concerns.

This, in addition to happy endings after exams.  Then I'd go to my local T2.

I considered going there. Opted not to.

There's no price tag on prestige, and the legal profession, from what I've gathered, is run by it.  You can't pay me enough to lure me away from those two lovely syllables, Har-vard, or even Boalt.

This is true. I bet the results would be different if we did this survey for med school. But law is a prestige run profession. You can't even get a job if you're not from a good school.
