if you aren't familiar with the piezo wiring,
take it in and tell them what you want done.

those guys love tearing crap apart

they'll do it for you

that was a real response.

there is a wire that sends a signal to the piezo element to make the noise, cut that wire and the timer is a silent timer.

if you aren't familiar with what the piezo element looks like,
take it into radio shack during a slow period and tell them what you need.
if they aren't busy, and are bored, they will open it up and show you the piezo element and cut the wire, then you'll be all set

I have done that. They open up the box and say there is no directions that say how to open up the timer.

I have that timer..and while I did cut the wire..which eliminsted like 95% of the noise...there is still a very faint sound that can be heard if things are extremely quiet...are you stuck w/ that? Most likely the sound can be drowned out by any movement in a testing room...but, it would be nice to make it completely noise-free.

Joe - take a mini screwdriver, unscrew the *&^% on the back...you'll see one prominent wire...cut it.

Thanks to both of you guys.  They let me use their mini screw driver. All the noise is gone
