I can't speak for how other products compare to a Kaplan course but I took a Kaplan and I was very happy with the level of instruction I got and the overall experience. I also took a more intesive course than the average Kaplan course. So, I think I may have gotten extra benefit from being around other people who were very motivated and a smaller class room. The bottom line is this the LSAT much more so than GPA is going to be by far the most important criteria for getting into law school. If you can do well on it with out a lot of prep work or by studying by yourself than go that way; most people can't though. The price of the course is really not that much even if it only gets you 2-4 more points on the test it's well worth it. The LSAT is very very important; if you spend a little bit more than you need to be sure you're getting the best results it's not that big of a deal.
