I had to post this somewhere:

I am home for spring break and my mother just handed me a fee waiver for Cornell that came in the mail last year.  OMG!!!!  I am SO upset with her!

At least she didn't hand you an acceptance letter from Cornell after you had already started attending a much lesser school.  That would be a nightmare.

So I met with the director of admissions at my #1 last friday and she said I was in....but I still haven't received my official letter...should I be concerned?

I got the book "One L" which I ordered on half.com out of curiosity.

Is it unhealthy that One L got me totally psyched for law school?

A bit--Turow was grumpy, and I spent the entire book thinking about how much better I would have done in the same situation, which is probably also unhealthy

Btw--the best part of watching The Paper Chase is seeing all the giant 70's sideburns and mustaches on the actors!

I'd send her a follow-up e-mail expressing your thankfulness for her/him meeting with you and tell her/him you'd love to send in your deposit but you haven't received the forms yet.
