What does our name and pic say about us?  Honestly, I kind of expect each of you in real to reflect your avatar in real life  :)

I do look a little like my 'tar.

Yeah, I think you do.  That's my favorite of your 'tars.

ETA:  Tasha, my fave of your tars is the one with the guitar.  That one is unique and it reminds me the most of you.  The one you have fits too, though.  I think you have a lot of different sides.

really?  which one with the guitar?

i think the one i have now suits me the best

K’wajônem tabi akwbi kadosmimek chakweniwi = Is it wrong of me to think that Mitt Romney looks rather striking and presidential?

Good try, though. I'm impressed.  But the word "weasel" would have appeared somewhere in there (ask Matthies the Abenaki word for weasel - he's taken it as his own.)

It's generally translated as "Your ideas are interesting...Do you have enough whiskey to drink all night?"   You have to think a bit harder as to what that actually means. ;).
I'm in a lynch mob?  I had no idea.  This is really worrying; I really don't have time for another extra-curricular activity.

Name changes mean squat - people still usually call me MBW.  Except for my dearest MP - to her, I'm her favorite pastry  ;D

It's funny though - over a year of having my quote either under my avatar or in my sig, and not a single person has asked me to translate it.

I already have translated it. For my ally is Google, and a powerful ally it is. :P

It doesn't show up in google  :P.   Unless you're babblefishing it.  (can you babblefish Abenaki?)

I have always wondered, but then I forget to ask when you're actually around.  Spill it, pastry!
That's cool how you referenced a case.

I did already...a page back. (see, no one pays attention to anything I say...humph.)  :P

Morning all

I’m back from being sick then having glitches getting my new computer set up. But OMG was it worth it, 4 lbs, solid state drive and LED screen and 4 gigs of RAM – small, fast and pretty!

Morning all! Hope everyone had a good weekend. Glad you're feeling better Matthies. I was definately in the crappy Labor Day group. I sat for 4 hours getting the cruise control on my car fixed. But I did buy a new tv  :)

Oh and not being able to hold down food does make you lose a lot of weight but the constant medical problems later in life (kidney issues, horrible metabolism) are so not worth it. Just ask this girl I used to know who wasn't very bright in her youth.

Hey, you don't want to push me in Nav's direction. That wonderful hair color and a uniform to boot, are you kidding me? :D

Uh oh.  You'd better be careful - do you really want Nav mad at you?
