I'm in a lynch mob? I had no idea. This is really worrying; I really don't have time for another extra-curricular activity.
Morning, IrrXy! It's around 8:30am here in Pittsburgh, and we're still waffling over whether to go to Ithaca or not - mostly in light of the expected surge in gas prices later this week. Arg! And now some models forecast Hanna to roll up the East Coast later this week, which could make our other plan, of heading straight to DC, equally painful (though in a different way.) Double arg!
That's cool how you referenced a case.
I'm so far from the end of my tether right now that I reckon I could knit myself some socks with the slack.

I was going to get a third guy to write me one with the idea that one prof may be horribley late.

He did mention that he needed to write a letter for me each time I visited him in the hospital. I told him not to worry about it. The other was a former instructor and lawyer with the AZ AG's office. I was pretty disappointed that letter didn't materialize. But the ones I got were pretty good and from some people in very good standing in the legal community or ranked highly in my company, so overall it wasn't a big loss.Tasha, from the number of people who have talked to you about this clerkship, I'd be surprised if you didn't get the job, and will be seriously pissed if you don't even get a call.
And I'm not surprised that you're making that assessment. I know where it's coming from, and all I can say is that it's a part of your brain I don't trust very much.
You may be right. But I'm not going to believe it until it's done, because believe it or not, you're better than you give yourself credit for and others have already seen that.
