Has anyone taken the Richardson Prep Course in Toronto?
« on: June 28, 2005, 11:08:47 AM »
I am trying to get some info on the Richardson Prep Course in Toronto. Has anyone taken it, know someone who took it, or know where I could find reviews/info about the course?
THANKS!

I appears that this prep class is somehow related to www.getprepped.com

I have heard of this test prep...but I don't know much about it.

It looks like your choices are rather limited in terms of LSAT prep offerings.  Appears that there is no Testmasters, Powerscore, Kaplan or Princeton Review in Canada.

I don't suppose you'd consider taking a Testmasters or Powerscore class.  They are about 80 miles from Toronto and both have a VERY solid reputation on this board.  If 80 miles too much of a haul, I'd also consider a weekend course before the exam.

Good Luck!

Actually that's wrong. There is certainly Kaplan in Canada (since I took a course) and it wouldn't surprise if the other big prep companies were around, at least in Toronto.

I haven't heard great things about the Richardson course.

I don't suggest it. After the class was finished, Mr. Richardson hauled me out back and sodomized me with a champagne bottle. I don't think this is a valid LSAT prep technique.

I was wrong....I overlooked that Powerscore DOES have a class in Toronto

http://powerscore.com/lsat/locations/toronto.htm

Testmasters180.com does too....

http://testmasters180.com/lsat/LSATCourse/ClassFRegion.aspx?state=CAX

If I were you...I would sign up for one of these instead of Kaplan.....

I am doing Testmasters....

There are definitely PowerScore and TestMasters in Toronto, we had discussions about these already

I took PowerScore with Matthew and I loved it.

For the love of God don't take John Richardson. I took his two weekend course and it was the biggest waste of money ever. At least if I just throw the money down a bridge I get to see them float around for a while. With the John Richardson course I got absolutely nothing

For a good review of the Richardson course (that rebuts an earlier posting - written by the above poster - LSATManiac), check the following discussion thread:

http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,27292.msg400945.html#msg400945

The two postings by LSATManiac {in this thread and the other thread) contradict each other.
