Yeah, not to be rude, but when someone refers to a school as top 10, top 20, T1, et al, they're referring to USN&WR. Whether it's right or not, that's the standard.

Although I agree there is no consensus that Duke is top ten, it is ranked 8th by American Lawyer. I got this from Montauk's book, pg 86. He lists three sets of rankings: USNWR, American Lawyer and Inside the Law Schools in which Duke is 10, 8 and "top 15" (did not make it in the "top ten" category) respectively. I don't know much about all the different ranking publications but I would think if Montauk lists only these three then they are all fairly respected.

(Also, you may be interested to know that Chicago ranks 6,1, and "top five" respectively in the publications.)

Either way I don't see a big difference between a school being top ten and T14.

Ummm, hate to break it to you, but Duke is only tied for 10 in USN&WR and if that is where you are getting your rankings from then you have your head in your ass.  Leiter's ranking puts Duke at 17.  No other ranking puts Duke as high as 10.

Chicago is tied for the highest starting salary among all law schools, Princeton Review also lists Boston College, Boston University, Northwestern, Duke, Columbia, and Penn as having 125,000 starting salaries.  There may be a few more I missed as well.
